June 24, 2010
Utilities Management Solutions Ltd. (UMS) and its partner Remco Lighting have secured an LED Street light Pilot Project with El Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) Costa Rica’s largest Electrical Utility. Utilities Management Solutions opened an office in Costa Rica in January of 2010 to assist the Costa Ricans with their aggressive energy conservation policy. ICE approached UMS after a frustrating search around the world for a reliable LED Streetlight that could properly light up their country and save them hundreds of millions of dollars in lighting costs. UMS and its partner Remco Lighting have the light to help them achieve that reality.
This 43 watt LED Streetlight with electrical efficiencies of up to 98% will change the way the world looks at streetlighting. The pilot will be spread over a two month period and will demonstrate the patented LED Streetlight technology, which has been generating buzz throughout governments and utilities around the world. “We are trying to keep up with the worldwide demand which has us very busy right now”, states Roger Rutherford VP of Marketing and Sales for UMS. “We knew this was the best streetlight in the world with regards to energy savings and reliability, but we were caught off guard at how quickly word spread throughout the globe.” “This light has the capability to save hundreds of billions of dollars in electricity costs worldwide.”
UMS is a company dedicated to energy conservation and we work with residential commercial/industrial sectors, as well as utilities and governments to dramatically reduce energy consumption worldwide. The company was founded in 2005 with the goal of bringing reliable and proven energy saving products and solutions to the marketplace.
